How to Study this Course
The essence of study, reading, and communication is to attain understanding. It will be utterly useless to buy a Course and its materials, spend hours studying and performing exercises, and gain no understanding. We all know that it is useless to talk to someone we cannot make understand us, or us to understand them.
Therefore, understanding is not only critical but is the greatest healing device of human beings for if you truly understand something, it can never hurt, harm, or confuse you.
However, while studying the Course or reading the material you notice you cannot understand something you feel confused, you become unnecessarily tired, or seem blank, stop reading further.
The reason for any of these phenomena is that you have read past a misunderstood word.
A misunderstood word is a word one does not fully understand, has a poor understanding of, confused with another word.
With the misunderstood word comes, well, misunderstanding, stupidity, lost interest in learning, and ultimately criminality.
The proper action to take then is to go back to where you had a good understanding, read gradually forward, and locate the word you did not understand, or you have a partial understanding of or a different understanding of.
Upon finding the word, get a simple and good dictionary, and look for the meaning of the word that applies to the sentence or section you are reading. Note that this meaning is not necessarily the first defined in the dictionary. You may need to read through several meanings before discovering the one that applies.
When you understand the meaning of the word, go back to the section where you found the misunderstood word. Read that sentence again and see if you now understand it. If you did, read on.
If you did not, do the step again until you finally understand the section.
Doing anything other than this is seeking to carry misunderstood word upon misunderstood word until every section, paragraph, chapter, and the entire Course and material is blank in your mind without a single recollection of what you have studied or read.
Wishing you a happy, understanding, and fulfilling study.
