How to Increase Your Company’s Revenue or Gross Income – Part 4
Welcome to week 4 of the LeadEtics® Consults Actionable Business Advice Series.
Before we start, let me share this eternal management and business truth with you. If your business is having money problems, do these steps:
1. Promote your product, service, or idea wide, deep, and consistently into your market and demographic (the type of audience that you have identified that needs or want your product or service);
2. Improve your ability, capacity, and readiness to deliver your product or services by improving your production systems and area; keep equipment, tools, spaces, processes, and personnel upgraded and ready to produce and deliver;
3. Permit the free flow of money to your business; make sure there exists no inquiry, sales order, etc. from escaping your attention; make sure your treasury people (those responsible for collecting payments) are up to date with invoices and demands for payments, and acknowledge all payment with appropriate receipts;
4. Do steps 1 to 3 again and again, and your business will become prosperous.
This week we are going to address a subject that sits behind and before everything we do, especially in marketing, promotion, sales, and our business communication. This vital datum is a must-have and must-do, if we desire to achieve anything in life or business.
If you desire a real expansion and prosperity in your business, you must generate and express positive intention and genuine interest in your communication with your stakeholders; staff, clients/customers, partners, suppliers., etc.
If you do not seem to be getting desired responses to your promotion efforts and sales, positive intention and genuine interest must, perforce, be missing in and with your communication. Therefore, it behooves some attention for you to create and express positive intention and genuine interest in your verbal communication, letters, emails, leaflets, sales letters, proposals, plans, etc. etc. This is whether or not the intended receiver sits across from you.
Interest is defined as “attention to attract attention or response”. Think of this: isn’t it the attention or response of the customer, client, or prospect that we desire? How do you get this valuable attention or response? No, the best verbal, written, typed, graphed, or printed communication is not going to do it solely. It requires positive intention that says confidently, “This message will do my recipient lots of good, therefore, they are going to respond positively.”
The intention is that “unspoken impulse that carries a message across to a recipient to obtain a desired goal”. Intention is the force that carries a message that is being communicated across to the person being communicated to. It is not the force of the communication. It is not how loud one speaks. It is not the beauty of the spoken or written language. It is not anything, but one’s intention that the other person will receive, duplicate, understand, and respond.
While most of us write or speak without any intention at all, some of us seem to communicate with intention almost instinctively; and that’s the riddle behind a salesperson who sells and another, of similar qualities, who can’t seem to sell – intention.
The powers behind every communication are our positive intention and genuine interest. While we write, speak, graph, type, post, or distribute a communication, positive intention, and genuine interest are the carrier waves that ensure the delivery of our intended thought or accomplishment of an action.
So, to achieve better results with your promotions and other communication efforts, you must remember to add the vital ingredients of positive intention and genuine interest along with your communication.
Do you have a pure, unadulterated, uncorrupted, unworried, and strong intention that your business will flourish and prosper? Are you focused, with uncompromising dedication to bringing about the goal of a flourishing and prospering business?
If so, consciously add positive intention and genuine interest to every communication you put out, henceforth, and you will see your business moved upward by your intention and deep interest in your targets of communications.
